Wendy left grammar school at sixteen with eight ‘O’ levels and no intention of doing ‘A’ levels or attending university. Instead, she pursued an almost forty-year career as an actress, singer and dancer, in London’s West End and the provinces, later turning to teaching exercise and dance. She began writing on retiring to the Sussex coast, but has never had her work published before.
